THE PRACTICE TEAM

Practice Manager

Mrs Laura Bond:
The practice manager deals with the administrative side of the practice and should be contacted if you have any queries about the practice.

Receptionists

They are there to help you. This may necessitate asking for basic medical details. All information is treated in confidence and they are bound by the same codes of conduct as doctors and nurses. The receptionists deal with patients at the front desk and all telephone enquiries. This makes their job very demanding, so please be patient.

Practice Nurses

Sarah Fairbairn & Jane Pither

The nurses are available Monday to Friday by appointment. Their duties include asthma monitoring, diabetic reviews, travel advice and vaccinations, routine immunisations, dressings, blood pressure checks, cervical smears, blood tests and advice regarding family planning.

ATTACHED STAFF

District Nurses

They provide expert nursing at home, and after discharge from hospital. They provide an assessment of health needs. Patients are referred to the district nurses by their doctors.

Health Visitors

The health visitors attached to the practice provide child care advice and monitor child development. They have a clinic on Thursday afternoons between 1.45 - 3.30pm.
